Aeon Flux, the cartoon series on MTV back in the 1990s was and still is the best when it comes to 2-D animation! First, it started off on Liquid Television as shorts. Then, in 1995, full length episodes were broadcast on MTV. Nonetheless, only ten episodes ever aired. Only ten!

Unfortunately, to this very day, I cannot figure out why this show got such low ratings? If you ask me, I definitely would rather watch one thousand episodes of this Peter Chung series than one episode of Flash Gordon or Captain America!

The PJ's!

Eddie Murphy's work there was hillarious!

Apparently it was very expensive to make, so they pulled the plug.

Another one that should be revived - with a modern-day actor - is "The Rockford Files". I doubt anyone could be another Jim Rockford the way James Garner was, but worth a shot.

Yes, there was a show called "Lincoln Heights" about a black police officer who decided to move back inot the old neighborhood and deal with all of the attendant problems. His family was reluctant at first, but then grew to love the place in spite of some difficulties. It depicted a great black family with two parents both working and respectful children. Great story lines, but it didn't last.

Some of the garbage they have on now isn't worth the elctricity it would take to watch it.

Hercules and Xena were both great but my fave show on TV and its spin-off was Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Yes, yes, you may laugh. They seemed to be shows for kids but they really weren't. They had a bit of everything, horror, action, tons of tongue in cheek humor and the characters were just so real you could not help but love them.

The best thing about it though was the messages it left you with. The vampires and demons and Gods used in the show were all metaphors for real life issues like growing up, consequences of choices made, lessons in humility and redemption.

It truly was an amazing pair of shows.

Me too!! I just laugh when I hear some of the old dialogue. Like the scene between Willow and Spike on Season 4 when he's trying to bite her and he realizes he can't because of the chip in his head which basically makes him a neutered vampire. It's a classic:

Spike: I don't understand. This sort of thing's never happened to me before.

Willow[timidly trying to offer comfort]: Maybe you were nervous.

Spike: I felt all right when I started. Let's try again.

[He tries to attack Willow again, only to crumple in searing pain]

Spike: Ow ow ow! Dammit!![kicks a dresser]

Willow: Maybe you're trying too hard. Doesn't this happen to every vampire?

Spike: Not to me it doesn't!

    Spike[desperate and embarrassed]: I'm only 126!

Willow: You're being too hard on yourself. Why don't we wait a half an hour and try again? Or...

[Finally realizing the insanity of her advice, Willow grabs a lamp, smashes it over Spike's head and tries to flee the room.]

For those that may miss it, the above quote is a tongue in cheek reference to impotence. In vampire lore the taking of blood is a reference to virility. The show was always making fun of vampire lore. In fact in one of the episodes Buffy meets THE Dracula and wackiness ensues LOL.

    LMAO!!!

This is yet another great scene. To set it up, there has been an earthquake which to most people in Southern California would be a normal thing but to Buffy it seems supernatural so she goes to her Watcher, Giles and he ignores her.

Later on, a demon kills a guy at a party and Willow saw a symbol carved into his chest which she just drew and is showing the gang:

Willow: Right. It was carved into his chest, like a big creepy eye.
Xander: It's kind of like the CBS logo. Hey, could this be the handiwork of one Mr. Morley Safer?
Buffy: I'm telling you I've seen this somewhere before. I just can't remember where! I mean, it's like...
Giles: It's the end of the world.
    Buffy, Willow, Xander: Again?
Giles: It's, ah, the earthquake... that symbol... yes.
Buffy: I told you. I-I said "end of the world", and you're like "poo-poo, southern California, poo-poo"!
Giles: I'm so very sorry. My contrition completely dwarfs the impending apocalypse.

I loved Firefly and blame Fox for showing it out of order when it first aired on TV.

Joss is a genius he is busy with the movie the Avengers and I doubt that he will ever do another TV series because of the way his series have been treated by the networks starting with The WB, UPN and finally FOX disrespecting his creative.

My favorite Western was Gunsmoke. Ken Curtis as "Festus", Milburne Stone as "Doc" and Amanda Blake as "Kitty" were as good as Character acting gets for TV.

Radio being before my time must have been great. "Theater of the mind" couldn't have had a better venue.

Maybe Seth McFarlane could do something with it.

The Andy Griffith show is an all time classic. But, frankly, the ones that are the most funny are the ones that include Don Knotts as deputy Barney Fife. Barney has got to be one of the all time great TV characters. The show would not have been nearly as funny without Knotts, and may not have lasted. Some of the other characters were hilarious as well like Floyd and Gomer and Goober and the various mayors. But Fife was the one.

One more: "Night Stalker" You'd just have to find another actor like Darren McGavin. Hard to do. They don't make em' like that anymore.

They did do a remake with the guy from Moonlight who is now on the Hawaii-5-0 remake.

Night Stalker just like Dark Shadows belong in memory only.

The remake never worked because they didn't have McGavin. The original was just that: Original.

CBS brought back Twilight Zone in the 80's and UPN brought it back a few years ago. Both didn't do well. You just can't top the creative genius of Rod Serling.

Yes, the producers went all Bob Newhart on the Felicity ending, which was so already done. But, someone PLEASE explain to me the Twin Peaks ending with little people talking in reverse? Now THAT was weird!

Get a Life was funny. Chris Elliot & co. played it out to the max. The whole concept of the show was humor with no pretenses. Also Herman's Head.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E and Mission Impossible, make it relevent in dealing with modern terrorist activity, but leave Tom Cruise out of the equation please... In The Man From U.N.C.L.E, make Rober Vaughn in charge of the NYC office and David McCallum in charge of the London office.
