There was a time in U.S. history known as the Gilded Age in which wealthy people spent outrageous sums of cash on estates the size of Montana, Texas, and even Alaska. Furthermore, these endless mazes were decked out to the max with the best woods they could purchased and adorned with opulent details such as marbled floors for doing the jitterbug or porcelain vases that the haughty wives could throw at their cheating husbands. Nevertheless, as time progressed in our nation, the government put standards and laws in place to prohibit the lavish throwing away of easy-earned cash on these behemoth and leviathan properties. However, once again, in current times, the wealthy are getting wealthier and the American government seems to be sleeping in bed with them; therefore, could we see a Second Gilded Age between now and the next twenty years?
