The Olympics is only several months away in July! It will take place at various locations in the city of London and will display a variety of challenging sports such as gymnastics, diving, swimming, beach volleyball, and badminton. Nevertheless, with the high unemployment rate in England and in Europe, great disproval of parliament and, to an extend, of the British royal family, could things in the United Kingdom get ugly? Will we see large protests and buildings set aflame similar to what we saw last year?

I don't know if the UK citizens in London will commit to more arson and general destruction. I don't even watch the Olympics. If violence worsens then I think the UK government will need to concern itself more about a potential rebellion similar to the ones in Libya/Egypt then the image of the Olympics on their soil.

    Thanks for the comment.

Yes, restoring order is a big plus. However, on the other foot, it would be hilarious to see lots of protesters streaking through the streets, arenas, and stadiums of London during the Games!

I would consider it to be a national dishonor in my opinion. However my opinion was directed towards general violence committed by protesters and by possible insurgents trying to take down the UK government. Their government must be cautious in my opinion. Several governments in the Arab world were overthrown by movements that begun as protests and then became more destructive over a period of time.
