This article is in conjunction with the previous article "Why Do People Skip Jury Duty?" I was just wondering since a lot of people skip jury duty, if the law should be changed so that people have an option of performing other tasks instead? For instance, if a person does not want to do jury duty, he or she would opt out for something else like completing a certain amount of community service in his or her city, district, or county. Another option could be that the person could select to complete a certain amount of hours or days in the National Army Reserves instead of jury duty. What do you think?
Should There Be A Multi-Optional Choice For Those Who Don't Like Jury Duty?
