During the early twentieth century, many families still either owned farms or worked on farms. However, as the decades passed and newer technologies evolved, a huge majority of Americans moved away from agriculture and even landed jobs in urban settings. Nonetheless, with so many people out of jobs since 2008, should Americans move back into owning farms and occupying agricultural jobs once more as a solution to the economic woes of the twenty-first century?
