For many decades, shower systems have not received much attention when it comes to improvement. Therefore, here's something that might change that notion.
How about a shower system with three different cycles. For instance, Cycle 1 would be termed "Wash." Yes, the same old wishy washy method used for as long as these contraptions have existed. Then, after the wash cycle, the shower would move to Cycle 2 which is called "Rinse." This will allow the system to use various techniques in order to remove all suds and soap residue left behind after the wash cycle. Finally, we arrive at the last phase, Cycle 3 a.k.a. "Dry." Yes, the shower system would be equiped with built-in dryers that would blow the living waters off the user's skin and body.
This type of shower would be fantastic, if it all works well in a coordinated fashion, because it would help manage the usage of water and the amount of time required to dry yourself off with a towel.
Moreover, this three-cycle-method should be included into future laundry wash machine models as well. This would put an end to transporting clean laundry from the washer to the dryer; which can be a nuisance for many.
In fact, future editions could probably merge both the shower system and the laundry wash machines together in close proximity inside someone's home! That way, while you decide to take a shower, the other machine is cleaning and drying your clothes.
