There's a new trend on the horizon as developed nations progress through the economic storm. It is the absence of rearing children. Kids have become an unwanted commodity and here are several reasons why this is so:
.) Smelly. Yes, babies smell horrible. They poop all over the place like a bunch of mice with overstuffed bladders. The parent cleans them up, change their diapers; and the next minute, there's a Niagara Falls steaming from the living room table. This is definitely an undesirable trait that leaves men and women screaming for a hands-off-approach!
.) Messy. Somewhat similar to the first problem. For instance, babies might crawl into the parents' room and rip the heck out of the father's very important project papers that he vitally needs to keep his job the following day; or scribble all over mommy's new purse she just received for Christmas. And who in the name of the Lord wants to put up with that!
.) Noisy. UNBELIEVABLE! Babies cough, scream, yell, bark, and yak louder than a room full of factory machinery. In fact, several passerby airplanes, outside the factory room full of machines, in combination with the machinery, wouldn't even come within a decibel of these ridiculous sirens! Moreover, the parents put them to sleep and they keep waking up. Therefore, the mother and father have to stay home from work the next day, or should I say for the next two weeks, just to recuperate from losing sleep for one night!
.) Expensive. It typically costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to raise just one child up to the age of eighteen years. On top of that, this doesn't include the price for college tuition or anything else that the child may throw the parents' way as he or she grows up from being a miniature devil into an abominable snowman or snowwoman!
