Over the holiday weekend, I pulled out two albums by the Aussie sensation Kylie Minogue. And they sure were worth listening to again! The pulsating electro-beats and futuristic bass grooves slapped a huge smile on my face as I jammed to the tracks. Furthermore, they brought back great memories from the past.
Here are the following two albums by Kylie. The first one 'Aphrodite' came out in 2010 and the second one 'Body Language' made its mark on the music world scene back in 2003. (Looks like it's time for a new album from this pop princess!)
Furthermore, this is the five tier system used to rate the tracks off these two LPs: 1.) Best, 2.) Excellent, 3.) Very good, 4.) Good, 5.) Alright.
On top of that, there's the five star system to rate the overall character of each album mentioned: Star 5 (Excellent), Star 4 (Very good), Star 3 (Good), Star 2 (Alright), Star 1 (Needs improvement), Star 0 (Stinks).
Album: 'Aphrodite'
1st Tier: Cupid Boy, Put Your Hands Up
2nd Tier: Aphrodite, Closer
3rd Tier: Too Much, Everything Is Beautiful
4th Tier: Can't Beat The Feeling, Get Outta My Way, All The Lovers
5th Tier: Illusion, Better Than Today, Looking For An Angel
Overall Rating: 3.9 (near very good). There are weak points in the album that made me wonder why they were put on the album? Nonetheless, this album had me banging my head for most of the play time.
Album: 'Body Language'
1st Tier: Loving Days, Obsession
2nd Tier: Chocolate, Promises, You Make Me Feel
3rd Tier: Secret, Sweet Music, After Dark
4th Tier: Red Blooded Woman, Someday
5th Tier: Slow, Still Standing, I Feel For You, Cruise Control
Overall Rating: 3.5 (between good and very good). Once again, there are weak points in this album. Furthermore, with more tracks, the weak points accumulated more than on 'Aphrodite'. Regardless, it just felt great hearing these tracks again.
